Attendees can experience new 8-Port, 10-Port, and 12-Port Base Station Antennas
Richardson, Texas – September 3, 2015
Kathrein USA, the world leader in LTE antenna innovation and deployments (Source: ABI Research 2015), is exhibiting the latest innovations in wireless densification at the upcoming Super Mobility Week being held September 9-11 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. At the Kathrein USA booth (#3632) attendees can experience an extensive portfolio of wireless solutions including the next generation of the company’s LTE and FirstNet ready antennas, small cell, and filter products.
Using LTE for the 700 MHz broadband public-safety network provides agencies with a number of key benefits, not the least of which is the ability to take advantage of the rapidly expanding cellular infrastructure. And as broadband/LTE communication becomes increasingly critical to public safety, Kathrein endeavors to provide the foundation for the FirstResponder network with the availability of the new 8-Port (Octo-port) antennas.
Kathrein’s innovative technical design lowers CAPEX by allowing mobile operators to increase supported frequency bands while at the same time reducing antenna counts all without compromising performance. This ultimately enables existing antenna-constrained sites to be upgraded to LTE and at the same time support on-going public safety efforts.
Kathrein’s family of 8-port antennas supports all major air-interface standards worldwide for both high and low band frequency applications including: 700 LTE, 850 (including FirstNet public safety band 14 frequencies), unpaired AWS-3 spectrum (1695-1710 MHz), AWS-4 (2180-2200) MHz, WCS band (23002360 MHz) and BRS band (2496-2690 MHz). Also of note is Kathrein’s continuously adjustable RET capability with independent e-tilt adjustment for each band (including 700 and 850 MHz).
With the release of our 8-Port multiband antennas, mobile operators can deploy all their bands and technologies on fewer antennas without compromise to their network quality and reassurance of the customer service goals.” said Jim Nevelle, President and CEO of Kathrein USA. “Wireless operators can now extract the maximum capacities from their existing physical sites without incurring the cost of tower upgrades or complex and costly RF design schemes.”
Kathrein USA also will also showcase its extensive portfolio of filters, combiners, and DTMAs, all of which are PIM optimized and engineered for macro, small cell, outdoor DAS and in-building needs.
